“Mom, you’re so weird.”
This is something I've been hearing often. My kids are at the ages where they feel self-conscious at times when they realize there’s a lens pointed at them.
I just shrug and say, “Sorry, can’t help it.”
They don’t always accommodate with a sweet expression and I know better than to request smiles on cue. Hearing their mom make fart noises or my best impression of a horse seems to elicit something resembling a grin, though.
Yep, we were a little late for school this morning, but in the grand scheme of elementary education I figured that was probably not a huge deal. Most things aren’t.
